Out 'n About

Now that we've had a few warmer days, Eva has enjoyed going outside and getting a chance to explore. Once the grass gets greener and is a little bit softer, she'll probably be just as quick outside as she is inside.

Steps

No, Miss Eva has not taken her first steps, but she had a lot of steps taken for her and other itty bitty babies yesterday; we did the 5 mile March for Babies. Team Eva was up bright and early and ready for a cool Colorado walk. The temps were in the 40s while we walked and the wind visited every now and then, but the sun was bright and warmed our faces. Being surrounded by so many other walkers (800, according to the news) warmed our hearts. We felt so blessed to be walking with our baby, because there were many others there who only walked with memories. It was a beautiful morning and we were surrounded by so many people who love our sweet Eva Grace.

15 Months

Miss Eva had her 15 month check up yesterday. She's gotten longer (31 inches) and has only gained a little bit more weight (20 pounds). Nothing too exciting, which is just the way we like it. The doctor continues to be happy with her progress. We're also glad that nicer weather is on its way and the germy season is beginning to come to an end. It was a long winter, avoiding public places or places with lots of people, but was well worth it as Eva never caught a cold or any sort of respiratory infection.

The March for Babies is tomorrow. Team Eva is all ready to go--we'll see how the weather is. As I type this, it is snowing! So, we'll see what the morning brings.

Getting Caught

This is what Eva was up to while the dishwasher was being emptied. The tissue and the phone behind her are generally on the end table that is just the perfect height for grabbing onto these days.

On the Move

Miss Eva is now officially crawling! It took us a while to get here, but here we are. After just a few sessions with her new physical therapist, Eva caught the crawling bug, and things haven't been the same around here since. It's awesome!

March for Babies

23 days from today we will be participating in our first March for Babies. This will be a 5 mile walk on April 24 that begins at 9:00 am. The funds raised support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives.
