Beans and Bowls

It's amazing how the most simple things provide so much fun!

You'll hear Eva say something about "Duker D" when she's using the blue bowl after she picks it up from the floor. Duke is one of her 4-legged "cousins;" she calls him Duker D and when he comes to our house, he uses that blue bowl for his water.

2

It's hard to believe it's 2 years ago today that Eva Grace came home from the hospital. We had no idea what we were in for. We were nervous, like any new parents, but probably just a little bit more. We didn't know what to expect or how Eva's prematurity would truly effect her (or us, for that matter). We are so grateful and thank God that our lives are so remarkably ordinary today.

First time in her own bed at home; looks rather comfy.

Playing hard, wearing her beloved Broncos jersey, asking to see the animals on the computer as I get ready to post this.

How sweet it is!

Green

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This little leprechaun wasn't too keen on getting her picture taken today.

We spent a really fun Friday at a little zoo. The weather was wonderful and daddy took the day off and we just had a great time walking around and seeing lots of different animals. It wasn't very busy, at all, so Eva G could run around or take her time at any exhibit. It was a great way to kick off the weekend.

And then there was this guy.
Talk about feeling like the odd man out. Or maybe he was practicing for the role of the Cadbury Bunny? It was so funny to see him sitting in the chicken coop!

Mardi Gras

On Saturday we took in the Mardi Gras parade and the Mumbo Jumbo Gumbo cook-off. It was a fun time, with lots of us going. And even though it was quite chilly and the sun couldn't decide if it really wanted to stay out, it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

For the second year in a row, Miss Eva slept through the parade. She hung in there for the gumbo (but didn't try any) and had fun while we waited for the parade to start, but just couldn't quite make it. Maybe next year she'll actually watch the parade.

3 on 3

 10:00-ish
thinking about putting on that shoe--who needs socks, huh?

 11:00-ish
picking up--you guessed it--rocks on our walk

12:00-ish
she can step up the first step all by herself and just needs a little help up the other two and is now mostly brave enough to slide down on her own, but we have to work on the "landing"
