Easter

We had a really nice, quiet, blessed Easter. We realized this is probably the last year the Easter Bunny will be able to sleep in on Easter morning. :)

We put an M&M in each egg we hid--that significantly slowed down the hunt! We didn't think Eva would open up each egg as she found it and eat the M&M. Here she is thoroughly enjoying one of the last ones!

Coloring Eggs

We sure had fun, (all 3 of us!), coloring eggs this year. Eva G loved the colors and ended up with some beautiful Easter eggs.

Funny Things

Just thought we'd share some of the cute and funny things Eva has done lately.

A couple of nights ago when she was in the bathtub she was playing with her watering can. It was full of water and she was trying to give it to me and was dripping water all over. She kept saying, "wanna get the tea out." I thought she was pretending the can was like her little teapot from her tea set and she was pouring the water/tea out. I kept telling her to keep it in the tub because everything was getting wet. And then I looked at the watering can and there was one of her foam letters inside--it was the letter T!!!! That was the tea/t she wanted out! :)

She calls Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street Bernie! She calls either one of them this and especially when they're together. I could never keep the two straight, and I love the clever combination she uses!

Miss Eva is her own biggest fan. She loves to walk up to a mirror and give herself a kiss. And anytime she does something, like step up a big step or put something where we've asked her to, or anything like that, she says, "yay, Eva. Good job or good work!" and then claps. She's very proud of herself.

She is so much fun these days. Now that the weather is getting nicer, we like to spend a lot of time out in the yard or taking walks around the neighborhood and we've visited lots of parks and playgrounds.

Here are a few pictures from a couple of weeks ago when we went to a little dinosaur museum. She had a fantastic time in the hands-on area where she thoroughly enjoyed all of the interactive areas. We'll be going back to that one, for sure!

We had some friends over for dinner last night and made strawberry shortcake for dessert. Eva G gave the whipped cream a thumbs up!

Bringing the Outside In

The weather has been usual April-like here --some days super nice, other days not so much, and we've sure had the wind. Today has been a nice one and we spent some time working and playing out in the yard. This afternoon Eva G decided she needed to relax a little and decided to bring her little lawn chair in from the deck...

3 on 3 (plus 2!)

Oh! Sunday was a hectic day, and earlier in the week I knew it was going to be and knew I would need to remember to take the 3 pictures of Eva, but obviously...

Anyway, here we are, just a couple of days late. (and it seems all of these pictures are a little fuzzy today on top of it all!!)
