Then and Now

Last time we went to this park, a couple of months ago, Eva was either carried to or had to have her hand held to walk to the playground equipment. Not so, a few days ago; she is loving the freedom of walking and exploring on her own. And we are loving watching her take it all in!

Non-Toxic

Our budding artist seems to think she must taste every one of the crayons she uses. At least they're non-toxic, right?!

a-MAZE-ing

We went to a corn maze on one of the hottest September days EVER. The corn was tall enough, though, to provide a bit of shade and there was just enough breeze to rustle the stalks. A little more than an hour after we started, we found our way to the exit! We had a fun time and Miss Eva walked a bit of it on her own. She sure enjoyed all of the dust and the dirt, too!

this girl is NOT afraid to get dirty!

doesn't this look like the face of a little girl who just had a great afternoon?!

Hat and This n That

This is what Miss Eva was up to while making dinner. She was playing in the plastic storage drawer, as she often does, and then decided to put this on her head and said, "hat."

Here's what else our sweet girl has been up the last several days:
  • she will come up to us with a book and say, "tory" and wants us to read (over and over and over... ) whatever she is carrying
  • she has found the vents and has discovered that they're pretty nifty for dropping things down
  • she has figured out how to open the dishwasher door and then climb on the open door and stand up on it to reach the counter--so now we keep the door locked all the time and have to load or unload it "on the sneaks" before Eva notices it's open!

and this is just the beginning of all the adventures, right?! :)

Really, though, we're loving every minute of it!!

Crossing the Line

the state line that is.

Miss Eva has officially crossed her first state line -- and she slept right through it! We crossed into Wyoming under a beautiful night sky filled with stars as far as our eyes could see. We were on our way to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa G and Aunt Edna and cousin Luke for the weekend. We hadn't seen them for more than a year and had a fun time together. We have also decided our little girl is going to be one heck of a road-tripper; she did so good on the drive there and back!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
