Aquarium

We headed north yesterday and met up with Max and Luke and their mom and dad and spent the afternoon at the aquarium. There were lots and lots of people but even more fish and sea creatures. We saw some really pretty fish and some really funny fish; some were very bright and colorful and some were very big. Of course, we also saw some sharks! The shark tank was a very popular spot. We tried to touch the starfish and the stingrays, but we didn't quite squeeze our way to the front. We might go back another day--in the middle of the week, in the middle of the school year! :)

A Thousand Words

Eva got a camera for her birthday. She's had a good time with it and has taken many, many pictures--a few we can even make out. It's sturdy and has some silly features to add to the photos. And one of the best things about it is it turns off after not being used for a certain period of time--maybe 5 minutes? So here's a peek at the world from Eva's vantage point today.

Mardi Gras

On Saturday we took in the fun, colorful, noisy Mardi Gras parade. We had a good time and got lots of beads and there was plenty of sun to keep us from getting too cold. And for the first time ever, Eva G stayed awake for the whole parade!

We've been gone from here for a while--sorry 'bout that. Our computer died and we've had a round of sickness to boot. Everyone seems to be on the mend and we've got a new computer, so we should have no more excuses for not posting a little more often.
