Friday Night Fun

We spent Friday evening at the Sky Sox game. Even though they lost, we still had a good time and we especially enjoyed the Friday Night Fireworks. This was the first time Eva had seen fireworks, so we weren't sure how she was going to react. She was initially scared of the noise and maybe of all of the bright flashes, but within a minute or two she decided she liked all of the lights and enjoyed the rest of the show, even though it was wayyyy past bedtime!

On our way in

Watching everyone around us more than watching the game! (she especially liked the man sitting next to us who had popcorn)

Nectarines

Miss Eva's getting so tall and getting into so many, many things. She can reach the top drawers in the bathroom and loves to pull everything out of them. The drawers in the kitchen are starting to become pretty tempting too. Next up, the doorknobs! She already stands on her tip toes and tries to turn them.

We had a couple of pieces of fruit on the table instead of in the basked they're usually in and before we knew it, Miss Eva had grabbed the nectarine and helped herself to it!

Diversity

We spent the day downtown at a really wonderful diversity festival. There were events going all day and we got to experience a lot of different cultures, music, food, costumes. We got a taste of India, Panama and everywhere in between. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday.

you can hear Eva getting excited about the music in this video

Busy

We've been busy around here the last couple of weeks; we've had visitors and a play date, gone to a small town parade, been fishing (with no success, but we had fun, anyway) and have just been enjoying these early August days. So here are lots of pictures from the last couple of weeks.
