We went to the doctor today and Miss Eva weighs 7lbs 5oz and is 19.5 inches long!! When she came home 3 weeks ago she was 6lbs and 18 inches long. The doctor was quite impressed with her growth and said she is definitely thriving! That makes a mommy's and daddy's heart so happy!!
They also tested Eva's oxygen saturation level on room air today and she did pretty well for the little while they checked in the office. The doctor is going to have the oxygen company come out to the house and do a 30 minute room air trial. If that goes well, the next step will be an overnight test (with monitors to let us know if her saturation drops too low). These are all good steps in the right direction! It will be so nice when she doesn't need that oxygen any more. We're told over and over, though, that if we were at sea level, she wouldn't need the oxygen at all--it's all about the altitude.
Our amazing little girl is sitting on my lap, wide awake right now as I type this. She's awake more often and for longer stretches of time these days--it's so fun to have her be more alert.
